BackForwardInstrument:  Dosimeter

Instrument details
Acronym Dosimeter
Full name Dosimeter
Purpose To measure the radiation mission dose during the whole PRETTY mission and for regions with elevated radiation levels such as the South Atlantic Anomaly, North and South Pole regions. To provide a technology demonstration of a reference dosimeter system.
Short description Dosimeter makes an assessment of the dose rate in terms of absorbed dose rate in silicon or comparable dose quantity.
Background A standard measurement technique to allow a correlation between the satellite’s radiation environment with the status of all other electronic systems of the satellite.
Scanning Technique
Resolution N/A
Coverage / Cycle In-situ measurement around orbit.
