Acronym LST
Full name Lyman-alpha Solar Telescope
Purpose To image the solar disk and corona in the Lyman-alpha wavebands and other UV/VIS bands.
Short description LST is comprised of 3 imagers a Solar Disk Imager a Solar Corona Imager and a White-light Solar Telescope. For the solar disk it measures EUV/UV at the H Lyman-alpha 121.6±4.5 nm line. For the corona it measures at 122.6±3 nm and 700±32 nm. In addition it images the Sun in a UV narrow-band continuum (360±2.0 nm) from the disk center to 1.2 solar radii.
