  • ESA Earth watch programme - the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA) major financial contributor; other contributors from Canada, Luxemburg and Romania. 
  • The platform is actively stabilised over 3 axes.
  • The design life time of the satellites is 3 years.
  • The satellites exploit sunsynchronous orbits at LST 10:00.
