  • Single-satellite programme for land observation.  Original name: “Fuyo”, a Japanese flower.
  • Japanese programme: JAXA (at the time: NASDA) responsible of development and operations.
  • Platforms actively stabilised over 3 axes.
  • Design lifetime: 2 years.
  • Sunsynchronous orbits around 10:30

  • Onboard stored and real-time data downlinked to JAXA stations.
