Programme description
  • Constellation of four satellites following each other in orbit so as to provide frequent revisit time (up to 12 hours).
  • Follow-on of the CNES Pléiades series.
  • Airbus Defence and Space (France) responsible of funding, development and operations.
  • The platforms are actively stabilised over 3 axes.
  • The design lifetime of the satellites is 10 years.
  • The satellites exploit a sunsynchronous orbit around 10:30.
  • The four-satellite programme implies mutual redundancy.
