Programme description
Satellite series for high-resolution land observation. Also known as GaoJing.
Satellites have either a high resolution optical sensor or SAR
Chinese programme of commercial nature - responsible of development: CAST (Chinese Academy of Space Technology). Operated by the Beijing Space View Tech Co Ltd.
Three-axis stabilised platforms.
Design lifetime: 5 years.
Replacement policy: based on the intrinsic redundancy of a constellation. Couple of satellites launched at yearly intervals.
Exploited orbits: sunsynchronous at arounf 500 km with ECT consistent with the Disaster Monitoring Constellation, around 10:30.
Superview Neo 1 & 3 have optical sensors and Superview Neo 2 SARs.
